One Second (McLeod)
You took my arm and walked
Everything had linked a life with mine
For one second
We were divine.
Behold the man,
Behold the man in me.
Now she doesn’t answer the telephone
Guess she knows I’m better left alone
For one second
I was fully-grown.
Behold the man,
Behold the man in me.
Seems like I’m slowing down to fast
And now at last I have and hold
And that second will not leave each sigh I heave, each sentence past
Wrap me up and throw me away
Wrap me up and throw me away
And with a rush of wind I fall, from summers past, and now,
at last,
I can fully understand the upper hand which help me fast.
Seems like I’m slowing down to fast (and now at last)
And that second will not leave (wrap me up and throw me away)
And with a rush of wind I fall (behold the man)
And now I fully understand.
