Nothing But Sky (McLeod)
You're like a satellite
Spinning round
You asked me out to night
All fall down.
You're not in love (you say)
As you taste like wine
Maybe another day
May be mine.
Clouds and rain me another lover
That I can find
Chance and fate we were pushed together
Now I turn to hide
Come on save me a little trouble
Come on and crush my heart
Make some glory out of all this ruin
And fly to homeward skies
And dreams of paradise
So running faster than I before
I hope to find …
But I'm sitting in another chair
Another mind
Can't pick up my guitar
Or hope to find
And like the birds that sing before the dawn
I cry
Sat out in the cold and all folorn
With nothing but sky.
Clouds and rain …
[Instrumental]
And fly to homeward skies …
[fin]
