Review of Royal Park Cellars Gig -Jan 2002

Terry Airth Memorial Day

'PROBLEM CHILD used to be Seismic Loveshift, an excellent pop-rock  outfit of whom Terry was fond of saying "They might not play my favourite kind of music, but they play it so bloody well!". Today was no  exception for despite the loss of their female lead singer (who is now  pursuing "other projects") Problem Child proved that they had  lost none of the infectious bouncy energy that made SL shows such a joy to stage.

What they have added is a more prominent role for their female  keyboard/vocalist who now has a much more up-front image, not to mention  a very rock'n'roll haircut. The new material also has a slightly more  reflective, almost "prog" feel to it.'
